ForWards with the drywall builder: practice meets product development

The partnership between VWS and Patrick Gensert - known as Der Trockenbauer - marks the start of the VorWärtS project. The aim of this cooperation is to test our products for drywall construction, plaster and ETICS directly under construction site conditions and to further develop them together in a practical way. This will bring together technical expertise and real-life construction site conditions - with the aim of making our profiles even more user-friendly, flexible and efficient.

VorWärtS - VWS on Site: Construction sites instead of meeting rooms

With VorWärtS, we are setting a strong example for new, practice-oriented product development. Together with Patrick Gensert, we accompany real construction sites, real challenges and concrete installation situations. The focus is on our tried-and-tested profiles for drywall construction - from classic connection profiles and flexible shadow gaps to special solutions for motion mounts. Patrick documents their application, comments on processing and installation and provides open, constructive feedback. This is exactly what makes the cooperation so valuable: we don't develop about the craftsman - we develop with him.

Patrick Gensert is active as @dertrockenbauer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. His posts reach tens of thousands of tradespeople, apprentices and people interested in construction and offer a realistic view of the trade. Planning, choice of materials and detailing are particularly crucial in interior fittings and drywall construction - and this is exactly where we come in with our collaboration.

Direct feedback for better products

The feedback from Patrick and his community is an essential part of the VorWärtS project. How well can our profiles be cut to size? How does the fastening work under construction site conditions? How clean is the connection to GK panels, windows or adjacent components? We don't answer these questions in the laboratory, but directly on the construction site - with camera, cutter and trowel.

The feedback is systematically recorded and flows directly into the further development of our products. This applies to material properties and dimensional tolerances as well as accessories such as cover strips, adhesive tapes or plaster edges. For us at VWS, one thing is clear: only if a profile works on the construction site will it also work on the market.

Passing on knowledge: Application, tips and tutorials

Another added value of the cooperation is the high visibility of our products in the trade. In numerous videos, Patrick shows what is important when it comes to processing. This content is publicly available and helps not only professionals, but also trainees, teachers and planners. Practical relevance is not a trend, but a success factor - and that is what VorWärtS stands for.

Whether it's the correct integration of shadow gaps, integration into suspended ceilings or the special features of commercial construction, working with Patrick results in content with real added value. The goal is always clear: less effort, better results - for everyone who works with our profiles.
